It’s Time! Open Enrollment: Now – December 7th

Note: It’s Time! Medicare Open Enrollment is the time of the year beneficiaries have to review plan options and ask questions about different plans. This period runs from October 15-December 7, 2012. NHCOA encourages you to consider reviewing your Medicare drug or health care plan, but it is not mandatory. For more information, visit www.medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).

During the Medicare Open Enrollment period (October 15 – December 7, 2012) it’s time to choose the plan that is right for you. Have your prescriptions changed? Is the new specialist you visit once a month covered by your current plan? It’s not required that you change plans but it’s worth your time to take a look. If you don’t review your plan options you will be automatically re-enrolled in your current plan for the 2013 year.

As a caregiver, take the time to talk to your family and see what plans work best for the Medicare Recipients in your life.
