As we continue to celebrate the amazing and admirable role models who make up the Latino community, this edition of Latino Empowerment highlights Elizabeth Jimenez, a dedicated leader in senior services at the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF).
Elizabeth Jimenez serves as Senior Services Project Director at MAOF’s Multi-Purpose Center, where she oversees five satellite offices and a team of twenty-five employees providing supportive services to older adults. Through her leadership, she helps advance a person-centered approach to social services, one that places the needs, experiences, and well-being of seniors at the heart of care.
Elizabeth’s commitment to older adults extends beyond her role at MAOF. She serves on several local and state advisory councils focused on aging, including the White Memorial Medical Center Community Leadership Council, the SC Caregivers Association, the UCLA RCMAR/CHIME Community Advisory Board, and the US Deprescribing Research Network. Through these collaborations, Jimenez is making a meaningful difference in advancing culturally appropriate services for older adults.
Her work brings us closer to an equitable society. Her leadership, advocacy, and dedication to improving social services help support older adults and promote a more person-centered approach to care. By bringing her experience to both community programs and advisory organizations, Elizabeth demonstrates how committed leadership can make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors.
Congratulations, Elizabeth!
You are an inspiring example of Latino leadership and community service, helping advance more responsive and culturally appropriate support for older adults.
